Going for the Gold

Let the games begin!

  Last night was the Lil Flips Olympics, which is her gymnastics class equivalent to a recital.  It's her chance to show us what she has been working on in class.  The coaches work on a little floor, bar, & beam routine that each gymnast does followed by a song ("Toe"ny "Chest"nut) & finished with an award ceremony.  This year Tatum was all smiles & excitement.  She entered to her name proudly waving her flag & waving to her adoring public.  I have to say she did really well on her routines, between you & me the best of the bunch!  We could quite possibly have a little Shawn Johnson on our hands. ( She doesn't have the long lean grace of Nastia).  Maybe OKC will host the Summer Olympics if that comes about so we can have a good fan base there.

It was a great night.  She had so much fun & can be quite a little show-off at times.  And of course, she won the gold! (Like that surprises anyone!)
