Cross has been such a supportive little brother by attending 3 years of Tatum's Lil Olympics & cheering her on this tball season. Now it's his turn. He's playing indoor soccer with a few of his little friends from church. Cross says the name of his team is The Buzz Lightyears & their chant is "to infinity & beyond". One of his teachers at church, KB, took on the task of putting this little team together & coaching them. Yes, you're thinking right, she's a brave & crazy soul. Anyway, the league that Cross is in is just to introduce the game, no score is kept & there is a lot of leeway, I mean a lot!
4 players from each team stand across from each other & wait for the whistle to blow & then they're off! Running, kicking, & running. There is an occasional goal made, maybe in your goal or maybe not, may be some grabbing of the ball with hands if it's not in the place desired, & the random walk off when they're just bored with the whole thing. People, it's not MLS!
Cross did score the first goal of the evening, of course when the ball was behind the goal he just picked it up, placed it where he wanted it, & kicked it in. Some may say cheating, but I just say that's thinking on your feet!
He had fun just running the court & getting to wear his own jersey.
